Councillor Terry Barath was born in Kipling to James and Edith Barath. The family lived on a Farm in the Kennedy area, and then Terry with his parents, and his sisters Norma, Tammy and Wanda moved to Kipling. After school he moved to Yorkton to work in housing construction, manufacturing, and trucking. Terry and his wife Della have three children, Sarah, Jason and David.
The family moved to Penticton, B.C. where Della worked for Sobey’s grocery store and Terry was working in road, highway and development construction. After their children graduated school, Terry and Della decided to move back to Saskatchewan choosing Kipling due to its amenities and potential.
Terry currently works as a truck driver and Della works in Healthcare. Terry has been on Council since 2008.
