Things To See
Worlds Largest Paperclip
The Town of Kipling holds the Guinness World Record äfor the Worlds Largest Paper Clip. The “Clip” is located in the center of the beautiful Bell Park which is located on 6th Ave. The Park, along with the Red Paper Clip takes on a new look with each changing season.The Giant Red Paper Clip Stands 15’ 2” tall, 3’ 2” wide, and weighs a whopping 3,043 lbs. It was built by Ardel Steel in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Kipling & District Historical Society
The Kipling and District Historical Society and Museum is located on the southeast side of town at 4thStreet and Centennial Avenue. Development of this project, which began in the 1970’s, is ongoing. Articles of historic interest and photographs of Kipling and district are displayed.
The Museum Main Building, the restored Pipestone School, Ovan’s’ House, Edenland Church are some of the main features. Also open to viewing are the blacksmith shop, service station, dental office and Dalzell Elevator engine. The Inchkeith Women’s Institute and Royal Canadian Legion also have rooms on display.
Regular weekend visits are Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 pm during July and August.
