Recreation & Sport

Recipient: Kim Daku

Kim has been involved in Kipling Minor Ball for over 10 years, taking on roles sucj as as President, Vice President, coaches and manager positions. She also coaches club volleyball. Her steady commitment has helped Youth Sport in Kipling thrive and is well deserving of this honour.

Culture & Heritage

Recipient: Val Bell

For over 28 years, Val has been a dedicated member of the Kipling & District Arts Council, helping ensure arts and culture remain accessible in our community. Val is away and will receive her award at a later date.

Community Involvement:

Recipient: Alan Batters

Alan is a steady, caring presence in our community. He supports local groups through donations and by lending a helping hand. Alan also created the well-loved Outdoor Rink that many of us enjoy year after year.

Youth

Recipient: Laurice Rein Morson

Rein is very active and caring young woman. She is involved in the Student Leadership Council at the Kipling High School. Each year she leads a large fundraiser large in support of the Kinsmen Tele-Miracle Telethon. She also visits the Long Term-Care Home to sing for the residents.

Senior

Recipients: Don Johnson

A long-time member of our community, Don has been actively involved with the golf course. He has generously given his time driving the Handi-Van and helping train new drivers. Don was also a key part of Kipling, the RM of Kingsley #124 and the RM of Hazelwood #94 becoming the first Age Friendly Communities in Saskatchewan.
