Deputy Mayor Colby Sproat has been a resident of Kipling since 2013. This is his first experience with Municipal Government. However, he has been serving the local community for a number of years as a member of the Kipling Fire Department since 2017.
Colby grew up on a grain farm just east of Kipling and headed to Saskatoon after High School for post secondary education. After receiving a Degree in Agribusiness and a Diploma in Agronomy from the University of Saskatchewan, he took a position with a local ag manufacturing company. Colby spent a number of years in international sales and market development before returning to the family farm in 2017.
Colby is engaged to be married later this year and is active in the local sports scene. His education and work experience will be a solid addition to this diverse mix of Town Councillors.
